Current Student Highlight - Veronica Campbell

Veronica

Veronica Campbell is a student at Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. She is an active member of her high school community. She is a member of Best Buddies, LINK Crew, and serves as Spanish Club President (muy bien!). As a member of LINK Crew, Veronica assists the incoming freshman through mentoring them, and providing a safe place within a small group as they transition into high school. 

Veronica has an impressive list of Universities that she is applying to in the coming months. She is considering Stanford, Harvard, University of Michigan, University of Washington, UCSD, UCI, UCLA, Northeastern, Tufts, Purdue, Cal Tech, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

This summer, Veronica will be enjoying the sun, and time off of school as she participates in her internship.

Current Student Highlight - Maya Thompson

Maya

Maya Thompson attends Del Norte High School in sunny San Diego, California. Maya is involved on campus through the Teen Drivers Club. She is excited to apply for college at numerous universities throughout the west coast. Maya has looked at universities near the mountains, and where the natural features are breathtaking and abundant. Her list of universities includes Colorado State University, Colorado University Boulder, Northern Arizona University, Oregon State University, Portland State University, CSU-Fullerton, CSU-Monterey, and CSU-Chico.

Maya is excited for the summer as she plans to find a part-time job or internship with a real estate company. She will be working on her AP summer homework, as well as her college applications and essays (you go girl! The early bird gets the worm).

Maya is such a joy to have as a member of our CBC family - Thank you for being such a great example Maya!
